Whats the difference between an Alligator and a crocodile
- Alligators have wide “U” shaped, rounded snout (like a shovel), whereas crocodiles tend to have longer and more pointed “V” shaped noses.
- There is a general size difference between alligators and crocodiles. An adult crocodile can grow up to roughly 19feet long, whereas for alligators the length is around 14 feet.
- Alligators are instinctively afraid of humans, but can lose some of their fear if they come into regular contact with humans. Crocodiles, on the other hand, are much more bad-tempered and far more likely to attack adult humans.
If you come across any of these run or swim as fast as you can.
